This is a short post. But a post well worth reading.

If you own a central AC system, have it checked once a year by and HVAC professional. Here’s a few reasons why.

  • Over 70% of electrical power used in the USA is for heating and cooling. By keeping your system running efficiently, you put less strain on the grid.
  • If you are like me, a big chunk of change out of my pocket during the summer is in cooling costs. By having your system checked, coils cleaned, etc you can be sure to scrape every bit of efficiency and savings every month. It will more than pay for itself.
  • Problems will always happen when it’s hottest out. You already know this. A simple eyeballing from a professional HVAC repairman can easily spot major problems with your units, but a through check can see issue WAY before they start. Plus, when the calls start coming in during a heat wave you will wait longer and pay more. It’s not rocket science.
  • And speaking of repair men, don’t hire a hack. just don’t do it. You know the guys. their ads go like this; “NEW AC $Y$TEM. CHEAP”. $29 check up. Don’t fall for it. Make sure your pro has plenty of references and is accredited by major HVAC organizations.

See, I told you. Short, sweet and to the point. Don’t be cheap. Make the call today. Spend a little, save a lot.
